Modular Web Solutions delivers the web-handling expertise needed to achieve even the most challenging of processes. Since becoming incorporated in 1972 as Webex Inc. in Neenah, WI, our business has grown significantly through word of mouth and repeat business. In 2014, the Webex machine business relocated to Greenville, WI to maximize our growth potential, and by 2015, we officially changed our name to Modular Web Solutions to better reflect our products and capabilities.

Throughout our history, we’ve proudly provided successful solutions to our clients by producing only unique, one-of-a-kind machinery and tackling some of the most sophisticated web-handling projects in the industry, including:

  • Web handling modules with operating tensions of less than 0.05 PLI
  • Winders with speeds in excess 10,000 fpm
  • Embossing machinery with nip loads in excess of 2500 pli
  • Carbon fiber process machinery running 1600 lbs of web tension
  • Floor-unloading unwinds for 5000 lb rolls

Today, our equipment and integrated systems serve a diverse range of applications and sophisticated processes for operations worldwide.

Modular Web Solutions: A Brief History

  1. 1972: Company began, known as Webex

    Incorporated as Webex Inc. in Neenah, WI.
    Machinery included Unwinds, Rewinds, Accumulators, Slitting Systems, Coaters, Air Turns

  2. 2005: Webex acquired Magnet-Fairview.

    The acquisition included PFE (PermaFlex Engineering), KHR Rolls, and Rodney Hunt
    It added Calendering, Sheet Lines, Laminating, Thermal Bonding and Embossing Systems to the machinery line up.

  3. 2014: Relocated to Greenville, WI

    Maxcess acquired Webex and relocated the equipment part of the business to Greenville, WI.

  4. 2015: Changed our name to Modular Web Solutions

    The name change signaled our growth beyond individual equipment offerings to a more complete, integrated web handling solutions provider, capturing the full scope of our products, expertise, and capabilities.

    Today, we are a trusted partner in custom web handling, designing and building tailored solutions that optimize performance, quality, and uptime.
